Measured to Perfection
Dosing is one of the most important stages in the production of our farmhouse flagstones, as it ensures every stone is made to the correct size, weight, and thickness.
The process starts at the hopper, where the flagstone mixture is transferred by a screw pump to the doser. Each dose is then automatically weighed by the production machine, calculated precisely to suit the dimensions of the mould it is filling. This guarantees consistent results across every batch.
Once the mixture is dropped into the mould, vibration is applied to help it settle evenly and spread level, removing air pockets and creating a uniform finish.
A single full hopper load produces around 18m² of flagstones, and our fully automated production line can manufacture 2,000m² per month or more.
Empty moulds are loaded onto the production line by forklift and pass through an oiling tank, where a fine layer of demoulding oil is applied. They then move under the doser before being automatically stacked at the end of the line. The filled moulds are finally transported by forklift to the curing room, where the flagstones are left to gain strength and durability.
This controlled, automated process ensures efficiency, consistency, and the high quality expected from our farmhouse flagstones.
