What goes into our Flagstones?
Just like cooking a great pudding, crafting high-quality flagstones starts with a well-balanced recipe and the right ingredients.
At the heart of our process are three key components: recycled aggregates (crushed stone), recycled sand, and cement. To this carefully measured mix, we add a touch of colour pigment to give our flagstones their distinctive character.
Each batch is mixed one tonne at a time, combining aggregate, sand, cement, and pigment to create our signature Farmhouse Flagstones. The consistency is crucial — not too runny, not too stiff — but just right for strength, durability, and finish.
Once mixed, the material is transferred into a hopper that feeds our dosing system. As each mould passes beneath it, a precisely weighed amount of the mixture is released, tailored to the specific size and thickness of the mould. This attention to detail ensures every flagstone is consistent, robust, and beautifully made.
